Critical Text (Translated):

Through skillful pictorial storytelling, the artist takes the viewer on an emotional journey toward dusk, conveying a sense of peace and serenity.
In the painting, a sailboat gently cuts through the water, while its reflections dance across the calm surface of the sea.
The delicate and airy colors, masterfully applied by the artist, evoke the warm and embracing tones of the sky at sunset, creating an atmosphere of calm and harmony.

What strikes immediately is Mereacre’s ability to capture the essence and fleeting beauty of this brief moment of the day.
Through nuanced and subtle brushwork, the artist succeeds in transmitting the emotion and wonder of witnessing a sunset, inviting the viewer to fully immerse themselves in the evocative atmosphere of the work.

This painting is a deeply emotional and captivating piece, capable of transporting the viewer on a journey through the beauty of nature and its most suggestive spectacles.

🏆 Maestri Award – Miami

Miami, USA — December 6–10, 2023
Official recognition for outstanding artistic value

In December 2023, during the renowned Spectrum Miami Art Fair, Tatiana Mereacre was honored with the Maestri Award in Miami — an international recognition granted to artists whose work displays exceptional emotional depth, technical refinement, and a uniquely personal vision.

Her watercolors, exhibited among artworks from across the globe, stood out for their ability to transform emotion into color, and silence into poetry. Judges and visitors alike were drawn to Tatiana’s delicate yet powerful style — a style that doesn’t just depict nature, but becomes it.

Next to the award, Tatiana placed a tiny traditional Moldovan doll, dressed in national costume and holding her country’s flag — a soft and meaningful reminder of her roots. In that quiet gesture, she carried a piece of home, proving that art — when true — can cross oceans and reach hearts everywhere.

🖼 Featured Work: “L’isola di Dino”

Watercolor on St Cuthbert’s Mill paper, 40 x 30 cm

As part of the Maestri Award celebration in Miami, one of Tatiana’s watercolors was selected and featured in the official exhibition catalogue:
“L’isola di Dino” — a vivid, dreamlike tribute to the southern coast of Italy.

This painting captures a sailboat drifting silently across radiant waters, beneath a sky set ablaze by sunset. In the distance: Dino Island, a wild and solitary presence rising from the sea like a memory from myth.
The water dances. The light breathes. The horizon blurs between the real and the emotional — just as Tatiana intended.

Painted entirely in watercolor, “L’isola di Dino” is more than a landscape.
It is a feeling. A longing. A voyage into stillness.
A moment of truth, suspended in pigment and light.
